Criminal Justice 

“This program is all about passion for the job. Everyone who works at the facility wants to help people and make a change in someone’s life. This type of atmosphere is what sparked an interest and drew me to want to do an internship with the program. This type of work will be a very good experience for my future career goals.”

FUN FACT: “I’m the oldest of 3 brothers and have lived in Whitehouse, TN my entire life. My hobbies include hunting and fishing” 




Criminal Justice 

“Working with victims of assault has been a dream of mine since I was a little girl. I knew from a young age my passion and I stuck with it through all of these years, and now have found a program doing exactly what I had planned for. This program will allow me gain experience and make a difference in someone’s experience. After I graduate, I aspire to be an Air Force Officer and then go to Law School to heopefully become a lawyer for victims of assualt” 

FUN FACT: “I’ve been a pilot for 5 years now and I was raised on a cow farm.” 




Master’s of Social Work

“I want to work to empower those who have been victims of abuse and sexual assault and help them achieve peace of mind, regain the feeling of control in their lives, and achieve their life goals.”

Aisha D

Bachelor’s of Social Work

“Initially my interst sparked for this agency because domestic violence is such a common issue, but I felt I didn’t know enough about it. As a future social worker, I want to be well-rounded in many areas. I did my first internship here in the fall and I LOVE it! I am excited for what is to come this semester” 

FUN FACT: “I have a deep love for the arts. I had my first poem published at the age of eight!” 




Child Development & Family Studies

“This program has so much to offer! My main interest is working with children, but I love that there are many different departments that I can get a glimpse of.”

INTERNSHIP BLURB: “I graduate in May! I want to eventually become a Family Shelter Advocate or Children’s Advocate for a domestic violence program.”
